Occasionally a caring, thoughtful, and well-meaning person has mentioned to us, during the process of our adoption, that they are concerned for Zach and Caleb. They worry that having a child with special needs in the house will be hard for them. Certainly, if I am honest, I can say I have wondered that myself during the process of making this commitment. Watching this news clip was a great reminder for me that teaching Zach and Caleb the joy of selflessly loving others is the best gift we could give.
